PANS & PANDAS are overlooked medical conditions that can lead to changes in thinking and behavior, such as tics, OCD, and eating disorders. We collaborate with families to investigate the root causes of their child's symptoms and create an individualized treatment plan geared towards building long-term health.
Treat the
child, not just the symptoms.
We leave no stone unturned and consider every possible contributor to PANS & PANDAS, including nutritional deficiencies, microbiome health, mitochondrial function, and infections beyond strep.
Our holistic approach is based on the latest research in the field. We connect the dots between your symptoms so that you can achieve long-term, sustainable healing, and not just temporary symptom relief.
Children deserve the safest treatment.
We focus on gentle, non-invasive treatment approaches, including neurotherapy, herbal and nutritional supplements, and dietary and lifestyle changes.
As a psychiatric clinic, we are intimately aware of how stressful these conditions can be for families. We provide compassionate support for children and parents, from neurofeedback to integrative consultations.
PATIENT STORIES

PANDAS PHYSICIAN NETWORK
Because many of our patients require in-person visits, we work primarily with patients who live within driving distance of our office. Additionally, Dr. Chandra is only able to provide virtual consultations, when appropriate, to patients located in Maryland and Virginia.
Additionally, we do not provide referrals to other doctors for those who have not been seen in our clinic or short-term consultations. We work with patients toward long-term healing.
PANS and PANDAS are characterized by the onset of OCD or disordered eating after an infection or immune trigger. Children with PANDAS may also experience the onset of motor tics.
While many children with these conditions have a sudden or even overnight onset of symptoms, some experience a more gradual progression. To learn more about the diagnosis and etiology of PANS and PANDAS, please refer to our blog.
In addition to the OCD-like behaviors and restricted eating that characterize PANS and PANDAS, children also experience associated symptoms including anxiety, mood swings, depression, irritability, and physical symptoms. To learn more about the presentation of PANS and PANDAS, please refer to our blog.
Our clinic does not offer antibiotics, steroids, or IVIG treatments. Patients who need these treatmemts will need to work with a pediatrican or another doctor. The focus of our work is integrative psychiatry and neurotherapy.
